Understand yourself better – Practice self-empathy
2019-06-18 kl. 18:00 - 19:30
Life can be overwhelming. Sometimes nothing goes as it supposed to, everybody wants something from you and everything irritates you “without a reason”… When you are in a hurry or stress, tired or with too many deadlines, it is very easy to overreact and say something you will regret later.

Very often people wonder if there is a way to calm down quickly to stay patient and open to other people, even if we are not in the best shape. They ask: “How not to react automatically?”, “How can I pause for a moment and answer in the way that will not endanger my relationship?”. Do you ask these kind of questions as well?
If yes, I have a great tool for you called self-empathy.
Self-empathy helps us to connect with our feelings and needs – to be more aware of what is so important to us that we get triggered almost immediately. It also allows to check what kind of story we tell ourselves, to name the facts (what exactly happened) and look for different solutions.
If you take part in this workshop you will:
– get to know the definition of self-empathy and how to use it in everyday life;
– learn the difference between self-empathy and self-pity;
– broaden your vocabulary describing feelings and needs;
– learn different tools to connect with your feelings and needs;
– get to know yourself better;
– work on examples from your life and try new ways of dealing with difficult emotions.
This event is part of my CNVC certification process and will be visited by my assessor, Towe Widstrand, who after the workshop will give me feedback about my performance. Your participation will be a great help in my process of becoming a certified CNVC trainer!
For whom:
For people who want to understand themselves better and through that improve their relationships with others (partners, colleagues at work, friends, children, etc.). I invite people who are able to understand English. You are welcome if you know Nonviolent Communication (NVC) already and also if you are a beginner in NVC.
